1. What PincerAPI Is
PincerAPI is an API proxy and directory service. We provide a unified gateway for AI agents and developers to discover, connect to, and pay for third-party APIs through a single key and billing system.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old or have legal capacity in your jurisdiction to use PincerAPI. By creating an account, you represent that you meet these requirements.
3. Accounts & API Keys
You are responsible for keeping your API keys secure. Do not share keys publicly. We may revoke keys that appear compromised. One person or entity may maintain multiple accounts, but not for the purpose of circumventing limits or bans.
4. Billing & Payments
Account funding is non-refundable. Deposits are converted to balance credits used for proxy API calls. We process payments through Stripe. Pricing for proxy calls is displayed in our directory and may change with 30 days' notice.
5. Passthrough Liability
PincerAPI acts as a passthrough proxy. We are not liable for upstream API issues, outages, data accuracy, or any actions taken by third-party API providers. API responses are delivered as-is from the upstream provider.
6. Acceptable Use
You must not use PincerAPI for illegal purposes, abuse APIs, or attempt to circumvent rate limits. See our Acceptable Use Policy for full details. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
7. Third-Party API Terms
APIs listed in our directory may have their own terms of service. When you access a third-party API through our proxy, you are also subject to that provider's terms. It is your responsibility to review and comply with them.
8. No Warranties
PincerAPI is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uptime, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose.
9. Limitation of Liability
Our total liability to you for any claims arising from your use of PincerAPI is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
10. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account at our discretion with 30 days' notice, or immediately in cases of abuse, fraud, or violation of these terms. You may close your account at any time.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, USA. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Virginia.
12. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice on our site. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
